Dr Leila Alem is research scientist in AI and Human Computer Interaction , an innovation consultant and an educator and trainer in entrepreneurship with a strong passion for accelerating innovation and entrepreneurship to create better futures .

Leila has an established international profile in Human Computer Interaction, with a special drive to creating innovation award winning digital products and services and underlying business models drawing on emerging User Interfaces technologies and Artificial Intelligence. During her 23+ years of experience at CSIRO Digital Productivity and Services, the premier research organisation in Australia , she has helped businesses in a wide range of industries including health, aviation, mining, manufacturing, transform in the digital economy. Her work has resulted in two successful commercialisations and 3 State Innovation Awards. Her clients include Boeing, Rio Tinto, DoHa, 3M and many more. She is a sought after keynote at international conferences. Leila has 200+ publications, and is the editor of the books & international journals. She won the 2013 NSW State innovation Award in R&D and was finalist of Women Outstanding Career Achievements Award in 2015.

Over the past 8 + years Leila has designed and delivered programs to accelerate innovation and entrepreneurship in Australia, France, Italy and Morocco. Her programs are targeted to corporate entrepreneurs, university student and to founders of startups.

Leila is currently an Adjunct professor UTS and holds a PhD in AI.
